I am looking to source stories that could serve as either a great case study on how to leverage the power of data about people at work and/or stories of how we can use data to do good in the world. Especially to create more fair and equitable work/economic opportunities. If you have a story, experience, or situation that could fit in my next case study or book, let me know!
Do you have real-world data that you would love to see analyzed by students who approach it in new and interesting ways? Then please let me know! I love to incorporate real world data projects into class when I can. (Note. I can really only work with data that is relevant to people analytics or information systems analysis/research/design. Adherence to data privacy & security principles is crucial. )
I try to connect as many students to the jobs that will provide them great opportunities to apply their skills and expand their careers. If you have or know of any internships or job opportunities relevant for HR analytics, business analytics, or information systems designs, please send them my way so that I can incorporate them into my next newsletter.
As much as I try, I can't always offer advice and guidance to all the people data enthusiasts I meet. If you have experience in the space and would be open to mentoring others, please let me know so that I can introduce you to some amazing individuals who will teach you more than you might expect as you share your insights and experience.
I teach a mix of course on people analytics, data, and design. My classes range from undergraduate to graduate and even include some continuing education and non-university students. But one thing is consistent, they love hearing the experiences and applications of others. If you work in a data related field and would be open to sharing your knowledge with students let me know!
Want to collaborate in other ways? Want to add content to my youtube channel? Curate job postings for the newsletter? Build sample data sets that people can practice with? Other ideas? Let me know!
